My name is Lashay Hill and I have been participating in Restoration Ministries’ After-School Program and Summer Day Camp for almost four years and it has changed my life in such a positive way. When I was first enrolled into the After-School Program, I was very shy and had just returned to school after a rough patch at home. At Restoration Ministries, I was able to interact with kids my age and have fun.
Over the years when my family didn’t have enough food we could always count on the Restoration Ministries’ food pantry and at Christmas my mom didn’t have to worry about us not having gifts because Restoration would make sure that we had something to smile about. Pamela Banks and all the other staff at Restoration have been vital mentors in my education, faith, and life and I am so happy to have their support.
Being a part of Restoration Ministries gave me the opportunity to see many things and have many new experiences. I was able to get my first job with their help. I received a scholarship to attend a high school that has been such a blessing to me, and I learned so much about the way that God works in all of our lives.
